29th September 1906 - Selly Oak Public Baths

On Saturday, 29th September the Selly Oak Baths were opened in Tiverton Road, Bournbrook, and to complement the occasion a souvenir brochure was produced describing the construction and engineering features of the building and its equipment.  The souvenir contains an interesting brief account of the (then) recent history of Selly Oak, wherein there is also a reference to the gift of Selly Oak Park from Mrs Gibbins.

The following photographs of the souvenir document have kindly been made available for reproduction here by Wendy Pearson.  (Note - Click on an image to enlarge it to read it.)
